Why bother publishing stale news that's 3 weeks old?
Sheila Sanchez (Editor) September 18, 2012 at 02:20 pm
Not stale at all, Lucas. The recent reports you're receiving are obtained through a Public Records Act request you must physically fill out at the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office. We have blotter all the way to the end of August and recently submitted another PRA request for the first 15 days of September. We can only input this info in batches, as we call them, 20 crime items at a time and we're looking for arrest info related to the communities we cover in SV. Hope this answers your question. You can't get this info anywhere else right now. We're doing this as a public service to our communities and because the SCCSO covers the towns of Saratoga and Cupertino, which are in our SV Patch cluster. Thanks.
