Sheriff's Arrests: Assault, Possession, Theft of Elder

Assault

  • Misael Sanchez, 18, of Palo Alto, July 30, 10:03 a.m., at 270 Grant and Birch in Palo Alto, for felony assault by means of force.

Battery

  • Zachary Dumont, 21, of San Martin, July 30, 2:30 a.m., at 12540 Foothill in San Martin, for misdemeanor battery on former spouse/fiance. Bail set at $10,000.

DUI

  • Anna Alvarenga, 56, of San Jose, July 30, 2:40 p.m., at 301 Diana Ave. in Morgan Hill, for misdemeanor DUI.
  • Amber Bandanza, 28, of Morgan Hill, July 30, 2:10 p.m., at 301 Diana and Butterfield Boulevard in Morgan Hill, for misdemeanor DUI.
  • Barbara Bartlett, 59, of Sunnyvale, July 30, 11:25 a.m., at the Santa Clara County Courthouse in Palo Alto, 270 Grant Ave., for felony DUI causing injury.

First-Degree Burglary

  • Roberto Alonso, 30, of Watsonville, July 30, 7:44 a.m., at the Santa Cruz County Jail, for felony first-degree burglary. Bail set at $75,000.

Hit-and-Run

  • Michelle Wang, 48, of Mountain View, July 30, 1:02 p.m., at 10001 No. De Anza Blvd. in Cupertino, for misdemeanor hit-and-run.

Violation of Protective Order

  • Ricardo Velasquez, 32, of San Jose, July 30, 7:25 a.m., at Gascoigne and Hanna in Cupertino, for misdemeanor violation of protective order. Bail set at $5,000.

Possession

  • Lawrence Ouadia, 38, of Lost Altos, July 30, 10:50 a.m., at 190 W. Hedding St. in San Jose, for felony violation or probation and misdemeanor unlawful possession of paraphernalia.
  • Emily Ward, 20, of Gilroy, July 30, 2:45 p.m., at 301 Diana Ave. in Morgan Hill, for felony possession of controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of controlled substance/paraphernalia, use/under the influence of controlled substance.
  • Angel Landa, 26, of Sunnyvale, July 30, 11:10 a.m., at 270 Grant Ave. in Palo Alto, for felony possession of controlled substance, misdemeanor use/under the influence of controlled substance.
  • Shayne Casey, 19, of San Jose, July 31, 10:30 p.m., at 18850 Cox Ave. in Saratoga, for felony possession of controlled substance for sale, possession of controlled substance. Bail set at $20,000.
  • Sean Lawson, 20, of Sunnyvale, July 31, 10:30 p.m., at 18850 Cox Ave. and Paseo Presada in Saratoga, for felony possession of controlled substance for sale, transportation, sale, furnishing of controlled substance for sale, and possession of controlled substance. Bail set at $45,000.

Theft

  • Carlos Bejinez, 19, of East Palo Alto, July 30, 9:45 a.m., at 150 W. Hedding and San Pedro in Campbell, for misdemeanor appropriation of lost property. Bail set at $10,000.
  • Jonnett Damiao, 48, of Mountain View, July 30, 11:20 a.m., at the San Jose Hall of Justice, 190 W. Hedding St. in San Jose, for felony grand theft by employee or agent.
  • Jackie Mikaio, 37, of Sunnyvale, July 30, 11 a.m., at the Santa Clara County Superior Courthouse, 270 Grant Ave. in Palo Alto, for misdemeanor petty theft of personal property, second-degree burglary. Bail set at $35,000.
  • Sandy Juarez, 24, of San Jose, July 31, 12:55 a.m., at 2924 Stevens Creek Blvd. and Redwood in San Jose, for felony theft of elder/dependent adult. Bail set at $100,000.

Vehicle Code Violations

  • Willie Scott, 25, of San Jose, July 30, 8:45 a.m., at 22510 Stevens Creek Blvd. in Cupertino, for misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended, resisting, delaying and obstructing a peace officer.
  • Andres Garcia, 31, of Cupertino, July 30, 7:40 a.m., at Moretti Drive and Tilson Avenue in Cupertino, for failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility of vehicle, not having lighting equipment of required type for vehicle and misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended.
  • Benjamin Balga, 20, of San Jose, July 30, 11:05 p.m., at Prospect Road and Miller Avenue in Saratoga, infraction for using wireless telephone device while driving, misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended and driving with a license suspended/revoked.

I'm hearing more & more about "Gangs" developing in San Jose, & in Santa Clara. I think with this economy crisis, people are taking on desperate measures. We need to PRAY!
