Updated: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15: A suspected drug dealer arrested Sunday morning in Los Gatos had in his person about 3.5 grams of meth and was found with various calibers of ammunition, not just one brand caliber, police said.

The 28-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet SUV and is from San Francisco and was booked on charges of possession of controlled substance for sales, possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of drugs, according to police Sgt. spokesman Clinton Tada.

A suspected drug dealer was arrested Sunday morning in Los Gatos after being stopped by police when he was spotted driving erratically with fresh damage to his vehicle.

The 28-year-old man was taken into custody and booked into Santa Clara County Jail at 11:50 a.m. at La Rinconada Drive and Winchester Boulevard after a vehicle search led cops to the discovery of methamphetamine, two replica firearms and mixed ammunition.

Upon further search, police also found rifle magazines, suspected burglary tools and evidence that he was selling narcotics, according to a police report.

Los Gatos/Monte Sereno police Sgt. spokesman Clinton Tada was not immediately available to answer questions about the arrest and the kind of vehicle the suspect was driving.

It's also not known how much meth he had in the car/his person and his place of origin.
