Rash of Car Break-ins Reported on Los Gatos' Frank Avenue

Los Gatos Patch reader Caitlyn Horton is reporting that several cars, including her own, parked overnight on Frank Avenue were broken into early Tuesday morning.

Police reports have been filed, Horton said.

"My car was locked, so they must have slim-jimed the window. My neighbor's car was unlocked," Horton lamented.

Frank Avenue is located right off Los Gatos Boulevard, before Izorah Way.

Horton said there are four cars that were broken into that the neighborhood knows of, along with three mailboxes, that were left open.

Three of the four cars were parked in Horton's neighbors' driveways. However, her car was on the street right in front of her house, she said.

Only small items like iPods, car phone chargers, etc. were taken, she said.

A Los Gatos/Monte Sereno police officer took reports for each car this morning and dusted the mailboxes for prints, Horton added.

The crimes are said to have been committed between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. this morning.
