Police Search for Missing French Citizen

Matthieu Tuvgnon, 32, of Santa Clara left his work in Mountain View around lunch and 'disappearance is considered out-of-character and suspicious.'

Police are searching for a man who went missing Thursday, July 12.

Matthieu Tuvgnon, 32, of Santa Clara left his work in Mountain View for lunch last Thursday and stopped by a store at Stevens Creek Boulevard and South Winchester Boulevard in Santa Clara at around 1 p.m. but has not been heard from by family or friends since, police said.

His cellphone has been found and Tuvignon's disappearance is considered out-of-character and suspicious.

The French citizen living and working in the U.S. has no known medical conditions, takes no prescription medication and may be in possession of a handgun.

He is described as being 6 feet, 1 inch tall, weighs 195 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who has information about Tuvignon's location has been asked to contact Santa Clara police Detective Mike Carleton at 408-615-4822.
