Patch Watch: Graffiti on Vasona Dam
Do you have any blight or problem spots to report to Los Gatos Patch? If so, please send your Patch Watch suggestion to Sheila.Sanchez@patch.com. Thank you!
Large graffiti tags have been spray painted on the back of the Vasona Dam wall on the University Avenue side in Los Gatos, near the Creekside Sports Complex.
Volunteer Dave Lane first spotted the vandalism act on Thursday, July 18 and reported it to the Santa Clara Valley Water District on July 19.
According to Lane, who also found four graffiti spray paint cans at the same location, the water district needs a permit to paint over the graffiti because it's close to the water. The permit process adds to the time it will take to paint over the graffiti.

A work order to remove the graffiti has been written and SCVWD worker Dale Honda has informed him that once biological clearance is approved, the clean-up can occur, Lane said.
