Pair Arrested in Los Gatos With Loaded Unregistered Weapons
Couple arrested last month by county sheriff's deputies at intersection of highways 17 and 9 for illegally carrying concealed firearms.
A man and a woman were arrested by Santa Clara County sheriff's deputies last month on suspicion of carrying unregistered loaded firearms in violation of the California penal code.
Rochelle Johnson, 21, of Stockton; and Jeremy Irving, 32, of Brentwood; were arrested the afternoon of April 21 at 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of highways 17 and 9 in Los Gatos.
Johnson was charged with felony possession of narcotics/controlled substance and felony possession of a loaded unregistered firearm.
Irving was charged with felony possession of a loaded unregistered firearm. Each of their bail amounts were set at $35,000.
A person who carries a weapon that is not listed with the Department of Justice as its registered owner can be charged with a felony, which is punishable with imprisonment in the Santa Clara County Jail not to exceed one year, or by a fine not to exceed $1,000, or both that fine and imprisonment, according to the penal code.
