The man was driving the motorcycle south in the far left lane on the expressway when he either tried to turn right into the next lane or to split lanes, Lee said.

He then collided with a trailer being towed behind a work truck, was ejected from the motorcycle and landed in the right shoulder of the southbound side of the expressway, according to the CHP.

Medical personnel pronounced Warren dead at the scene, Lee said. No one else was injured and no citations were issued, CHP officials said.

The CHP closed two southbound lanes on the expressway for two and a half hours after the crash, Lee said.
