Man Caught With Drugs at The Summit on Highway 17 in Los Gatos

Santa Cruz resident faces felony and misdemeanor charges for possession of controlled substances.

A 41-year-old man was caught with drugs after Santa Clara County sheriff's deputies conducted a vehicle stop in October at Summit Road on Highway 17 in Los Gatos.

Eric Hamlin, of Santa Cruz, was arrested at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 16 and charged with two health and safety code violations for carrying illegal narcotics on his person.

Hamlin was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, according to a sheriff's arrest report.

Hamlin, who is listed as unemployed in the arrest report, was booked into Santa Clara County Jail and his bail was set at $11,000.
