Man Arrested on Suspicion of Assault, Domestic Violence
Address of altercation is not the same as location of Nov. 30 Monte Sereno homicide on Withey Road.
A Monte Sereno man has been booked into Santa Clara County Jail after police say he hit his girlfriend causing her injuries while she was holding a child in her arms.
Gennaro Passaro, 49, was arrested at 10:33 p.m. Nov. 29 at a residence on Withey Road in Monte Sereno for violating a peaceful contact order between him and his 30-year-old girlfriend, said Los Gatos-Monte Sereno police Sgt. spokesman Kerry Harris.
The woman's neck and back had been scratched during the assault and she had redness on her face from being struck, Harris added.
