Los Gatos Police, Fire Reports, Nov. 10-14: Greenhouse Fire, Catalytic Converter Theft

The following arrest information was provided by the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Assault/Domestic Violence

  • Benjamin James Caschera, 29, 12:17 a.m. Nov. 14, on Pollard Road, was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of domestic violence and criminal threat. 
  • A domestic disturbance between a husband and a wife was reported at 7:12 p.m. Nov. 14 on Harding Avenue.

Mail Tampering

  • Two personal letters were stolen from a mailbox at 12:40 p.m. Nov. 14 at Luray Drive.

Grand Theft

  • A citizen reported that catalytic converters were stolen from his vehicle at 8:22 a.m. Nov. 15 at Belgren Way.

Theft

  • Sometime overnight on Nov. 15 gas was siphoned from two school buses and a van at 15885 Los Gatos-Almaden Road.

Property Accident

  • A property accident was reported at 9:59 a.m. Nov. 15 at Blossom Hill Road and Los Gatos Boulevard.

Auto Burglary

  • A citizen reported an auto burglary at 2:48 p.m. Nov. 15 at Los Gatos-Almaden Road and Carlton Avenue.

Greenhouse Fire

  • An electrical heater malfunctioned causing a greenhouse and plants to ignite and burn at 8:39 a.m. Nov. 10 at 100 Stonybrook Road. The blaze caused $500 in property damages and $100 in content losses.
