Los Gatos Police Blotter, Nov. 30-Dec. 4: Auto Burglaries and Bike Thefts

Wednesday, Nov. 30

8:22 a.m., 150 Blossom Hill Rd: An incident of harassment was reported in which a suspect sent slanderous emails to the victim's family.

8:37 a.m., 110 Drysdale Dr: An incident of auto burglary was reported.

10:24 a.m., 15900 Los Gatos Blvd: An i.d. card was reported as lost.

11:51 a.m., Old Adobe Rd: A juvenile was reported missing.

2:12 p.m., 101 Maria Teresa Ct: A bicycle was found and turned in to police.

3:17 p.m., 362 Penn Wy: Two bicycles were stolen from a victim's yard.

3:42 p.m., 15543 Union Ave: Billy Gene Ashley was arrested for attempting to cash a forged check.

4:06 p.m., 220 Oak Meadow Dr: In an incident of auto burglary, a window was smashed and clothing, jewelry, and a cell phone were stolen from inside.

Thursday, Dec. 1

Overnight, 257 Montclair Rd: A bicycle was stolen from a garage.

8:32 a.m., 209 Belgatos Rd: A vehicle window was smashed and items taken from inside in an incident of auto burglary.

5:24 p.m., 780 Blossom Hill Rd: Morgan Merell McAllister was arrested shortly after trying to cash a forged check and subsequently fleeing from police.

8:06 p.m., 720 Blossom Hill Rd: A minor altercation occurred.

Friday, Dec. 2

12 noon, 200 Towne Te: An incident of grand theft was reported.

5:41 p.m., 16334 Ridgecrest Ave: A fraudulent check was deposited.

10:45 p.m., 24 Ashler Ave: In an incident of assault, one roommate pushed another. No injuries were reported.

10:46 p.m., 909 University Ave #25: An incident involving mental health occurred.

Saturday, Dec. 3

12:15 a.m., La Montagne Ct: Officers responded to reports of a juvenile party.

1:47 a.m., University Avenue and Miles Avenue: Dustin Tyler Alejandro-Wheelen was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

9:35 a.m., 101 Los Gatos Blvd: Credit cards, bicycles, and other items were stolen from a residence and garage in an incident of residential burglary. One of the bicycles was later recovered.

11:08 a.m., 127 N Santa Cruz Ave: Timothy McKelly was arrested for being drunk in public.

1:00 p.m., No. Santa Cruz and Almendra avenues: Property was lost.

1:35 p.m., 308 Nino Wy: A potential auto burglary was prevented when police confronted a man lingering near another vehicle. He fled the scene via a waiting vehicle, and nothing was reported missing.

2:37 p.m., 14100 Blossom Hill Rd: After a stolen vehicle was spotted as occupied, police responded to the scene. The suspects fled but the short pursuit ended due to their unsafe driving. The vehicle was recovered after it was crashed into the center median. The suspects then fled on foot. The passenger, Anthony Charles Champagne, was caught and arrested. Police searched the vehicle and found stolen property, including mail from a Los Gatos residence.

5:19 p.m., 141 College Ave: An incident involving mental health occurred.

8:39 p.m., 50 Los Gatos-Saratoga Rd: Sharon Sue Wool was determined to be the driver of a vehicle that was involved in an accident. She was arrested for driving under the influence.

10:22 p.m., 16700 Kennedy Rd: A cell phone was reported stolen but later recovered.

11:13 p.m., Lark Avenue and Los Gatos Boulevard: A park ranger spotted a vehicle driving erratically. The driver, Melanie Gilbert, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and prescription drugs after police contacted her while she was exiting a gas station bathroom.

Sunday, Dec. 4

1:59 a.m., University Avenue and Boyer Lane: Andrew Stephen Larson was arrested for driving under the influence.

3:18 a.m., No. Santa Cruz Avenue and Blossom Hill Road: A juvenile was determined to be out past curfew.

11:41 a.m., 23 No. Santa Cruz Ave: A credit card was used by an unauthorized person to make illegal purchases.

3:35 p.m., 105 Forrest Ave: After reports of a restraining order violation, officers responded and were told that the victim was being harassed via third parties.

10:49 p.m., 216 Rushmore Ln #8: In an incident of residential burglary, a bicycle was stolen. It was later recovered.
