Los Gatos Police Blotter, June 14-20: Skateboarder Suffers Injuries in Accident

The following arrest information was supplied by the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Injury Accident

An unidentified person was injured on town property located at Winchester Boulevard and southbound Highway 85 at 9:10 a.m., June 14.

  • An unidentified person reported that an unknown suspect entered his vehicle at Zena Avenue in Monte Sereno and removed several pieces of personal property at 9:15 a.m. June 14.
  • An undisclosed item was stolen from a residence located at Fairmead Lane in Los Gatos at 9:09 p.m., June 14.

Assault/Domestic Violence

A domestic battery information report was taken from undisclosed individuals at Knowles Drive in Los Gatos at 10:51 p.m. June 18.

Found Property

  • Lost sunglasses were found at 14801 Shannon Road and Santa Rosa Drive in Los Gatos at 6:50 p.m. June 18. 
  • An unidentified item found along Union Avenue in Los Gatos was turned into the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department at 12:01 p.m. June 19.

Grand Theft

A woman reported that her handbag was stolen from her locked vehicle parked outside of the Los Gatos Walgreens store, 423 No. Santa Cruz Ave. when it was broken into. Walgreens was reported as having video of the incident, which occurred at about 1 p.m. June 18.

Lost Property

A citizen reported that he lost his wallet at an undisclosed location on Edmond Drive in Los Gatos at 12:59 p.m. June 19.

Missing Juvenile

Two juveniles were reported as running away from an undisclosed home along Loma Alta Avenue in Los Gatos at 1:40 p.m. June 19.

Towed Vehicle

A vehicle was towed for blocking a driveway after the driver was observed driving erratically and fleeing the area of Ohlone Court in Los Gatos at 1:47 p.m. June 20.

Vandalism

A citizen reported a vandalism to her vehicle and a theft of personal property from her second vehicle at Oak Rim Way in Los Gaots at 8:43 a.m. June 20.

Grand Theft

A citizen reported that several pieces of personal property were stolen from his unsecured vehicle at Johnson Avenue in Los Gatos at 9:52 a.m. June 20.

Mental Health

A resident was contacted and placed on a 72-hour psychological evaluation hold at Jones Road and College Avenue at 9:02 p.m. June 20.

Theft

  • An online report was taken of a Specialized hard rock bicycle was taken from the front of a house located at Garden Hill Drive sometime after midnight June 20. A second bicycle, an Electra black beach cruiser, was also reported taken from the property.
  • An unknown subject stole a GPS system, glasses and loose change from an unlocked vehicle parked at Garden Hill Drive in Los Gatos, between Lark Avenue and Farm Hill Way, sometime after midnight June 20.
  • An unknown subject entered an unlocked vehicle at Nob Hill Way and Garden Hill Drive in Los Gatos stealing the car registration at 9:33 a.m. June 20. The suspect also went through storage boxes, but didn't take anything, according to the victim.
  • A GPS was taken from an unlocked Honda Odyssey at Longridge Drive, between Hollycrest and Greendale drives in Los Gatos at 8:50 a.m. June 20.

Injury Accident

A driver reported driving by Blossom Hill Road in Los Gatos at about 6 p.m. June 20 and thought she had seen a vehicle versus pedestrian accident. The woman, however, noticed someone on the ground that turned out to be a fallen skateboarder. Los Gatos Monte Sereno Police Sgt. Steve Walpole responded to the accident. The victim was transported by medical staff to a hospital.
