Los Gatos Police Blotter: Aug. 23-29, Stolen Car Involved in Two-Vehicle Hit-And-Run

Tuesday, Aug. 23

5:51 a.m., 115 Towne Terrace: An incident of petty theft was reported online.

8:12 a.m., Lark Avenue and Winchester Boulevard: A female suspect crashed a stolen vehicle into two others and fled the scene. She is still at large.

12:51 p.m., 221 Almendra Ave: Threatening calls were made to staff at a doctor's office.

1:06 p.m., 873 Castlewood Dr: A wallet was stolen from a residence.

1:14 p.m., Los Gatos Boulevard and Fillmer Avenue: A juvenile was arrested for possession and sales of marijuana, conspiracy, possession of counterfeit money, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and for being in possession of alcohol as a minor.

1:59 p.m., Pollard Road: A woman reported that her husband, Rafael Avalos Arias, who allegedly has a history of domestic violence, threatened to harm her and take their children. He was served an electronic police report online on the front lawn and then arrested for making threats.

3:53 p.m., 309 Willow Hill Ct: A residential burglary was reported online.

3:56 p.m., 20 E Main St: An incident of petty theft was reported online.

9:48 p.m., 400 N Santa Cruz Ave: A report was made of a missing adult; he was later found.

Wednesday, Aug. 24

10:40 p.m., Lark Avenue and Northbound Highway 17: Melanie Denae Dyer was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine and marijuana, and driving with a suspended license.

1:58 p.m., 14675 Winchester Blvd: A purse was stolen after a suspect broke a car window. The debit card was then used to withdraw money and another card was used to buy gasoline.

Friday, Aug. 26

2:19 p.m., 100 Reservoir Rd: An incident of fraud was reported.

5:26 p.m., 14595 Clearview Dr: Derrick Carty was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

6:03 p.m., 123 Via de Tesoros: A residential burglary was reported.

8:58 p.m., Blossom Hill Road: A juvenile was found to be in possession of a full bottle of whiskey, cigarettes, and a stolen driver's license.

Saturday, Aug. 27

Midnight, Loma Alta Avenue: Three juveniles ran away but returned around two hours later.

Midnight, SB Highway 85 and Winchester Boulevard: Michael Anthony Guidry was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

12:46 a.m., Gateway Drive and Carlton Avenue: Christopher Bouchet Diaz was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

1:06 p.m., Oka Road and Lark Avenue: An incident of domestic violence occurred.

3:07 p.m., 224 Loma Alta Ave: While a woman was away from her vehicle for 10 minutes, a suspect broke a window and stole her purse from inside. Her credit cards were used at a gas station nearby soon after.

10:45 p.m., Winchester Boulevard and Lark Avenue: Richard Thomas Farrell was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of methamphetamine.

11:56 p.m., S Santa Cruz Avenue and Wood Road: Tomi Racine Adam was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Sunday, Aug. 28

7:37 a.m., Alberto Way: After an incident of assault, a woman was pulled out of a car and the suspect fled. He is still at large.

8:45 a.m., Drakes Bay Court: An incident of domestic violence occurred between a Arturo Max Sterling and his girlfriend. He was arrested for battery.

11:53 a.m., 15900 Los Gatos Blvd: A taxi driver found and turned in property that was left in the back of his vehicle. The owner is still unknown.

1:24 p.m., 220 Arroyo Grande Wy: An incident of petty theft was reported.

5:31 p.m., 115 N Santa Cruz Ave: Corey Eugene Baker was cited for being drunk in public. He was transported in an ambulance for  medical treatment due to his level of intoxication.

Monday, Aug. 29

2:27 a.m., southbound Highway 85 and Union Avenue: Douglas Paul Shover was arrested after police found he had a warrant for his arrest when he was stopped for a vehicle code violation.

11:15 a.m., Cuesta de Los Gatos: A car window was smashed.

2:47 p.m., Capri Drive and Knowles Drive: Ellen Elizabeth Gregg was stopped for a vehicle code violation and subsequently told police she was on probation and with an open bottle of wine inside her vehicle. Police then found her to be under the influence of a controlled substance and not, in fact, on probation. A bag of methamphetamine was found in her purse. She was arrested.
