Los Gatos Cyclist Struck By Vehicle Near Whole Foods Entrance

Cyclist complains of pain to left leg, thigh and head following collision.

A 40-year-old Los Gatos man was struck by a blue Suburban while on a leisure bicycle ride around town near the Whole Foods entrance on Los Gatos Boulevard the morning of Sept. 23.

According to Los Gatos/Monte Sereno police, the accident occurred at 8:57 a.m. when the driver, a 38-year-old Saratoga man, struck the cyclist who complained of pain to left leg, thigh and head.

Police Sgt. spokesman Stephen Walpole said another similar accident occurred at the busy location, whose cross street is Blossom Hill Road, on Feb. 7 of this year.

The driver was returning home after shopping, Walpole said.
