Another message from Assistant Superintendent Graham Clark at 11:45 a.m asks parents to not come to Homestead High.

Parents with students at Homestead High School are reporting that Homestead is also in lockdown as a precaution. Here is the message parents are receiving:

This is Graham Clark, Associate Superintendent at the Fremont Union High School District.  Today is Friday, January 25 at 11:15.  Homestead High School is currently in a Code Red.  Our other four campuses are operating normally.  Police are on site.  We want to assure you our students are safe and we will send you more information as soon as we have updates.

And there's this from a Patch reader: "Early Horizons on Lewiston (which shares space with the French-American school and DeLor Montessori) is also on lockdown."

Cupertino Middle School is in a lockdown situation after a student reported seeing a suspicious person on or near the campus, a district spokesman said.

"Cupertino Middle School is in lockdown, and West Valley (Elementary) is in lockdown, too, as a precaution because of its proximity," said Jeremy Nishihara, spokesman for Cupertino Union School District.

Police are in the process of clearing the area and students are "safe and supervised," Nishihara said.

Nishihara added that there were rumors of a shooting on or near the campus, but there was no shooting.

Cupertino Patch will follow the activity and update this article as information becomes available.
