Kumra Murder: Plea Delayed for Woman Charged As Accessory

Raven Chanel Dixon will appear in court at 2 p.m. Feb. 4 along with three other defendants in home-invasion killing of Monte Sereno businessman Ravi Kumra.

The fourth suspect in the slaying of Monte Sereno businessman Raveesh "Ravi" Kumra appeared in Santa Clara County Superior Court Tuesday to have her plea entering hearing delayed until 2 p.m. Feb. 4.

Judge Jerome Nadler ordered Alameda resident Raven Chanel Dixon, 22, to return to Department 23 of the San Jose Hall of Justice and answer to charges of being an accessory to Kumra's Nov. 30 killing and a gang enhancement as it's alleged she committed the crime "for the benefit of, at the direction of, and in association with a criminal street gang."

Santa Clara County Deputy District Attorney Kevin Smith is trying the case in which three other men have also been arrested and each charged with six felony counts of murder, assault, criminal threats, false imprisonment, robbery and residential burglary in the high-interest case. The men, too, will appear in court at the same time to possibly enter pleas.
