Update: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17: The driver of a red Subaru Forester traveling northbound on Highway 17 in Los Gatos crashed and suffered injuries when he hit the center divider at Idylwild Road.
The impact caused the car to spun out blocking both lanes of the thoroughfare. The vehicle received front-end damage, according to the California Highway Patrol incident information page.
A tow truck was called to the scene as well as Santa Clara County Fire to help with airbag deployment, the report said.
All lanes were reported open by 10:30 a.m., with the number-one lane available at about 10 a.m., the report added.

A severe traffic alert has been issued this morning following an injury accident that occurred at Idylwild Road.
The warning was issued at 9:48 a.m. by the CHP and posted on the http://traffic.511.org website.
The right lane is closed and motorists are advised to expect delays and avoid the area. There is no estimated time to reopen the roadway.
