Fire Burning Near Los Lagos Golf Course - 2nd Blaze There This Week

Firefighters were called this morning to battle a one-alarm vegetation fire beside the Los Lagos Golf Course in South San Jose, the site of a similar fire on Monday, a fire spokesman said.

The Fire Department received a report about the fire at 11:10 a.m. by the course located near the intersection of Senter Road and East Capitol Expressway, fire Capt. Cleo Doss said.

Doss said shortly before noon that he was on the way to the scene of the blaze and had no other details.

A vegetation fire was extinguished at the golf course on Monday after burning between four to five acres, a fire dispatcher said.

An employee of the course said on Monday that the fire had started next to Coyote Creek near the fourth, fifth and sixth holes on the side of the course facing Senter Road.
