Burglar Steals Meds, Food, Alcohol From Occupied Los Gatos Home

Suspect faces first-degree burglary charges for breaking into an inhabited residence.

A 20-year-old man was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail Sunday afternoon after police say he entered an occupied residence on La Montagne Court and made himself too comfortable.

According to Los Gatos/Monte Sereno police, the suspect broke into the home shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10 and stole medication, food and alcohol.

The estimated value of the items stolen is not included in the police report, but the man faces felony first-degree burglary charges since the house was inhabited.

Burglary in the first degree is punishable by incarceration in state prison for two, four, or six years, according to the California Penal Code.
