A bicyclist suffered major injuries Friday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle on Saratoga-Los Gatos Road and Ridgecrest Avenue in Monte Sereno, according to police.
The victim, a Los Gatos woman approximately 30 years old, was hit by the car shortly before 12:45 p.m. after two vehicles traveling westbound on Saratoga-Los Gatos Road approachign Ridgecrest Avenue collided.
After that crash, one of the vehicles struck the woman who was stopped in the median area of the intersection, Los Gatos/Monte Sereno police said.
The woman was transported to Valley Medical Center.
The drivers of vehicles are from Monte Sereno and San Jose, police said.
The accident is under investigation.
