Police Search for Missing Woman

Boulder Creek resident may have head injury.

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office is searching for a 54-year-old woman reported missing Wednesday night in Boulder Creek who may need medical assistance because of a head injury, a sheriff's spokeswoman said.

Wendy Elizabeth Rivas, whose nickname is "Dragonfly," was last seen at about 10 p.m. in the 13000 block of Highway 9 in Boulder Creek, sheriff's spokeswoman Deputy April Skalland said.

Rivas is described as 5-feet-7 inches tall and 150 pounds, with brown hair and eyes, Skalland said.

She was last seen wearing a purple long-sleeve shirt and purple pants.

Rivas may have suffered an injury to her head and could be in need of medical treatment, Skalland said.

Anyone with information about Rivas' whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's office at 831-461-1121.
