Where Were You When You Heard President John F. Kennedy Was Shot?

Old enough to remember losing JFK? Please share your memories in the comments. Thank you.

Today marks 50 years since President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, TX on Nov. 22, 1963.

Kennedy, 46, was killed while part of a presidential motorcade accompanied by his wife Jacqueline Onassis and Texas Gov. John Connally and his wife.

Lee Harvey Oswald, 24, was determined to be the assassin, but was killed two days later while in police custody.

I was barely 4-months-old when what is considered one of the most tumultuous times in the 20th century took place, the slaying of the 35th American President.

It deeply impacted my mother, a 20-year-old first-generation immigrant from Ecuador who had come to see JFK as a fighter for civil rights.

She held on to a picture of JFK for years after his assassination.

The photograph eventually disappeared, but to this day if you ask my mamá about "Jack Kennedy from Massachusetts," she'll start crying.

Where were you when you heard President JFK was shot?
