what's around the next corner

You do not know what's around the next corner so please slow down when driving, especially mountain driving. My passenger asked me why I was driving so slow the other day while trekking over the hill to santa Cruz on Highway 17. Actually I was going the speed limit and everyone else was blowing past me like there was  free money ahead. So I explained to my passenger as we entered the next curve that you never know whats around the corner. Immediately we came upon an accident that had occurred seconds before. A car had hit the center divide, spun around while parts and debris scattered everywhere. There the car sat, blocking both southbound lanes. "My point exactly" I said.My passenger did'nt say a word.Please drive safe.
