Napa Valley Gift Ideas from Locals

Where can we find the perfect gifts without leaving Napa County? We asked for suggestions on Facebook and got tons of recommendations from locals. Feel free to add more in the comments section — we need Upvalley gift ideas, too.

We've had our Black Friday (which began on Thankful Thursday and lasted for days), our Cyber Monday (extended to Cyber Week) and our Small Business Saturdays.

How about Napa Valley Now?

On Facebook, I swiped an idea from our friends at Novato Patch and asked readers for local gift-giving suggestions. Here's what folks have been saying:

"I'd suggest going to downtown Napa for unique gifts," writes Cathy Gumina Odom, naming:

  • Betty's Boutique for ladies,
  • Craig Williamson for men,
  • and the toy store on First for kids.
  • Cigar shop for purses and poker chips,
  • gelato shop for gift certificates.
  • Coffee shops for caffeine and sugar to keep you going.

Leilani Musgrave Slack, , boosted her downtown neighbors along with the businesses she runs with her husband Paul:

  • Gift certificates for Traditions, Bloom, Oxbow.
  • Candy baskets and stocking stuffers at Boom!
  • Gift certificates at any of the restaurants, Bui Bistro, Cole's, Cielito Lindo, Azzurro, Allegria, Sabor, Small World, Mini Mango, Grace's Table, Oenotri...
  • Wild Cat, Slack Collective and Grand Hand Galleries have great art for under $200,
  • Miyamo, Inti, Beaded Nomad for handmade gifts...
  • Fleur et Beaute for eyelash extension gift certificates! ... Shop Local!

Gregory Edwards shared a Napa dad's list:

  • Skateboard for kids at Boardgarden.
  • Jewelry for wife at Creations By You.
  • Wife to buy husband cut and shave at The Executive Room
  • Gift cards at the Running Co.
  • Gift cert at Napa Roasting.

Other readers had food on their minds. Diana Orfanides Moore:

  • Paupaiz Coffees for sure. That stuff is AMAZING!

Laura Reed:

  • A box of organic truffles from Whole Foods! Yes, chocolate!

Misty Moore-Barrera:

  • Gift baskets from The Fatted Calf!

For a more durable gift, Nancy Brown suggests jewelry:

  • Playful Garden, they have really cool necklaces!

From Calistoga to American Canyon: What Napa Valley holiday gift ideas do you recommend? We're in need of Upvalley suggestions especially, but all are welcomed in our comments section.

To make shopping more fun for locals and visitors alike, more than two dozen downtown Napa merchants are joining forces Saturday for a holiday event called the Jingle Bell Trot, from 3 to 7 p.m., with special deals and $5 horse-drawn carriage rides to benefit Cope Family Center.

I just checked this site out, it looks like cheap Chinese leftovers that you would find at Ross, with an inflated price. No doubt being sold out of some ones garage witch is why there is no address listed in the About Us tab and how come no local phone number? Just curious? If this was a real store, wouldn't it have more than 23 items to sell?
