Actions Speak Louder Than Words

Taking the havoc out of the holidays.

With the arrival of Thanksgiving, the holiday season is now upon us. For many, that means the "fill level" on the calendar goes up 25 percent or more in already busy lives. It’s so easy to get caught up in the doingness of shopping, preparation, activities, etc. and not necessarily being as present as we’d like or need to be in the moment to the meaning of Thanksgiving, celebration, family, gratitude, blessings, etc.

I don’t know who said this quote but it’s one I love every time I read it, “Being happy doesn’t mean that everything is perfect. It means you’ve decided to look past the imperfections and choose to be happy.”

As we enter into this season with its memories, new experiences, traditions, expectations, family, friends, there is huge power and satisfaction in choice. We can choose what to pay attention to, what to acknowledge, notice, celebrate and invite into our lives. Consciousness and intention add to our health and purpose.
