The store, which sold clothing in downtown Los Gatos on North Santa Cruz Avenue near where Mike's Bikes is located, was first owned by his father Deal Christensen, Sr.

Together with "Mr. Whitlow," they combined the last names to create the Chrislow department store, said daughter Leslie Dill.
