Longtime Los Gatos Resident John Henry Musser Has Died

A-1 Sandwich Inc. owner is being remembered for his strong personal connections and driven spirit.

Los Gatos resident John Henry Musser, 73, died March 23.

Born Feb. 29, 1940, his actual date of birth had only come around 18 times since he was first delivered into the world in his native Minnesota, he and wife Carol shared with Los Gatos Patch.

Musser owned the food production company A-1 Sandwich Inc. in South San Francisco. He and wife Carol have lived in Los Gatos since 1973. They have four children—Kristi, Jill, John and Joseph. They were married for 45 years.

When he was not working, he enjoyed competing in senior national championships with his basketball friends who were regulars at the Jewish Community Center where they practice on Saturdays, wife Carol told this publication.

Musser attended Mankato State College in Minnesota. He worked as a real estate agent for 17 years before making a career change for the food industry.

A memorial service is being planned for 4 p.m. Friday April 5 at Calvary Church in Los Gatos, 16330 Los Gatos Blvd.
