Jazz on the Plazz 2014 concert lineup is here; a Cole Porter summer.
With leftover turkey still in the fridge and the town bedecked in tinsel and holiday lights, it’s hard think about summer.
But, trust me, the clear skies and warm days that are now just a dream, will before you know it, be back. And with their return comes our tribute to the great Cole Porter.
From, “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” and “Night and Day” to “De-Lovely” and “Anything Goes,” there is no greater contributor to The Great American Songbook than Porter.
If George and Ira Gershwin were the poster boys for sophistication, Porter was the master of nuance; satirical, urbane and just bit of naughty.
