You loved it in the spring, and now it’s time to sip and shop once again at the Los Gatos Fall Wine Walk: Downtown and Old Town coming up 1:30-5:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 29. See a list of participating wineries, shops and food donors here. Tickets are $40 per person in advance and $50 at the door (if still available). Wine walk participants must be at least 21 and ID is required upon check-in. Join family and friends for a free movie night at Oak Meadow Park Bandstand featuring Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax on Friday, Sept. 28, with children's activities beginning at 6:30 p.m. (free face painting and lawn games), Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad train rides for $2 each and snacks, drinks and barbecue favorites available for purchase and showtime at 7:30 p.m. Details: 408.399.5770

The Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department, Community Against Substance Abuse and West Valley Clean Water Program are sponsoring a free drug recycling and disposal event 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 at 41 Miles Ave. The public is encouraged to bring controlled, non-controlled and over counter medicine for disposal. Intra-venous solutions, injectibles and syringes will not be accepted. Glass thermometers will be accepted in ziploc bags and household batteries must have ends taped. Other items being accepted are cell phones and eyeglasses. Details: 714-299-6456.

The Clerk Department is recruiting for open positions on the following bodies: Arts and Culture Commission, Building Board of Appeals, Community and Senior Services Commission, General Plan Committee, Historic Preservation Committee, Library Board, Parks Commission, Personnel Board, Planning Commission and Transportation and Parking Commission.
