MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE

Day concert and service at 10 a.m., Monday, May 28, featuring a San Jose Metropolitan Band concert and a service at 11 a.m. Refreshments will be provided. Details: 408-356-4151.

Los Gatos Ballet presents "Cinderella" at the West Valley College Theater, 14000
Fruitvale Ave. in Saratoga, 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 25 and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 26. The production is a new interpretation of the all-time favorite, lost-slipper, love story dance classic staged in 1948 by the Bolshoi Ballet in Russia. Tickets can be purchased online at brownbagtickets.com. Prices are $20 adults, and $15 for children. There is a special backstage Girl Scouts screening tonight, Thursday evening, May 24 and Friday morning. LGB is expecting more than 200 Girl Scout attendees. Details: 408-399-7577.

Those who have been touched by cancer or are caregivers for cancer survivors are invited to join the 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Saturday, May 26, at the club's boathouse at Lexington Reservoir, 10000 Alma Bridge Road, to learn more about the sport of rowing. Organizers will help the public learn basic rowing techniques and the type of strength and fitness programs rowers go through for training. An afternoon reception will follow.
