The Leadership Los Gatos registration deadline for the 2012-13 class is tomorrow Friday, Sept. 7. The program which begins in October, gives individuals the opportunity to train for leadership roles in community organizations. In cooperation with the Town of Los Gatos, the runs Leadership Los Gatos. This 10-session program is for people of all backgrounds and interests who wish to become more involved in the community. The presents its 5:30-10:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8, at , 208 Bachman Ave. This is the eighth annual fundraiser for the service club which supports Lighting for Literacy, feeding the homeless through St. Luke's Pantry, the End Polio Now campaign, youth leadership and music programs and college scholarships. Tastes and pours from the 20 of the top restaurants and wineries in town and hands-on displays of the 's equipment and programs will be part of this year's A Taste of Los Gatos at 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 9 at , 18550 Black Rd. The event's $100 tickets benefit the work of the , which supports the LGMSPD and the two towns it serves by providing funding for public safety tools and educational outreach programs. The public is invited to attend the first annual Black & White fundraiser for the Scleroderma Northern California Chapter, 8 p.m.-12 midnight, Saturday, Sept. 8 at the , 50 Los Gatos Saratoga Rd. Tickets are $25 at the door. The event is hosted by Dan and Mia Burnham of Burnham Construction in association with Events by Jess. There will be two live bands, The Johnny Neri Band and F3, and a DJ. Desserts will be served. About 300 guests have confirmed attendance. Details: Mia Burnham, 408-839-6071.

The Los Gatos Community Concert Association kicks off its 2012-13 season at 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 9, at the Los Gatos High School Theatre, with a band that has no instruments, just the beautiful voices of Ryan, Earl, Geoff, Danny and Layne, known better as 42Five.
