Blood Drive, Volleyball Sign-Up, All Today, Jan. 3

1. The American Red Cross is sponsoring a blood drive, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., today, Tuesday, Jan. 3, at , 219 Bean Ave. Call 1-800-RED CROSS, or 1-800-733-2767, or go to redcrossblood.org (Sponsor Code: LOSGATOS) to schedule an appointment. 

2. The United States Youth Volleyball League holds a registration drive Tueday, Jan. 3 all day for boys and girls ages 7-15. There are four divisions: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-15. The eight week program teaches the fundamentals of volleyball such as serving, passing, setting, spiking, blocking and playing the game. Registration can be done online at www.USYVL.org or you can request a registration form by calling the USYVL national office at 1-888-988-7985. All practices and games are held at Blossom Hill Park in Los Gatos.

3. The , 4 Tait Ave., presents Renovated Reputations, a free multi-faceted exhibition of recent paintings by Kenney Mencher 11 a.m.-5 p.m., through Jan. 5. Mencher is a painter and a professor of art history and studio art at Ohlone College in Fremont. He is also the gallery director and curator at the Louis–Meager Art Gallery.
