About 3,000 Customers Briefly Without Power in Los Gatos, SJ

One customer in Los Gatos is still without electricity due to damage on a service line.

About 3,500 PG&E customers were without power for about an hour in the South Bay this afternoon, a utility spokeswoman said.

The outage was reported shortly after 2 p.m. in areas of Los Gatos and south San Jose, PG&E spokeswoman Nicole Liebelt said.
          
Crews responded and restored service to all customers by about 3:05 p.m., Liebelt said.
          
The cause of the outage remained under investigation this afternoon, she said.

In Los Gatos, the PG&E power outage map showed at least 1 outage affecting one customer.

The cause of the outage was listed as field personnel having found damage on the service line to a customer's premise.

A repair crew was reported onsite with the outage starting at 9:49 a.m. this morning and an estimated restoration time of 9 p.m. Tuesday.
