Good morning fellow Cats!

For those of you who don't know me, I'm a local girl who, after growing up in one of the most charming towns in America left home to go south for college (and a few other things:) a few years ago) and have just recently made my way back. 

In that journey I have learned a tremendous amount about myself, our town, people and the great big world out there. Those not so few years away have solidified in my mind how wonderful it has been to have been born a Los Gatan (pronounced Las Gatan if you've been here as long as I have). 

So ... why am I blogging? Because I met this wonderful lady named Sheila one day and she asked if I could tell some stories. Stories about the world through the eyes of a "Las Gatan" local and the things that have instilled passion in me thus far in my journey through this mostly wonderful and very fortunate life.

I'm the proud mother of two, and pending official, (but officially loved) three step-children. I have spent my professional career in fashion, real estate and charity. I am one of 30 founding members of , based here in town, but attracting women from all over Silicon Valley with a desire to give back and serve others.

Spending quality time with my family and friends, traveling the world to find inspiration in fashion and design, striving to make the world a better place for those who have not seen it through my eyes ... those are my passions.

... And that is what I will be blogging about in the upcoming weeks. I believe that lifestyle is about "treasure hunting." It's about searching for the items and places that you need to know about, or would like to share with your loved ones in this moment of your lifetime.  

I've learned, more than anything, that moments are gifts not to be wasted.
