Dog Off-Leash Hearings Planned

Meetings at Louise Van Meter Elementary School April 25, May 9 and May 23 to help public weigh in on parameters for pilot program that would allow canines at public parks during certain times throughout the day.

Three public meetings will be held to discuss a dog off-leash pilot program at Live Oak Manor, Bachman, and La Rinconada parks in Los Gatos.

The meetings will be held at , 16445 Los Gatos Blvd. at 6 p.m., on April 25, May 9, and May 23.

after participating in the public process where residents' input and ideas will be considered as well as a recommendation from the town’s Parks Commission.

The public will help set guidelines for the program such as the amount of limited hours per day dogs will be allowed to be on the loose and how long the program will run for.

The Council is expected to receive the recommendations at either its June 4 or June 18 meeting.
