Best Holiday Lights in Los Gatos

We recommend the home of Rose and Don Arnaudo for starters at 17843 Andrews Ave. followed by the lit-up holiday train at 16585 Farley Rd.

For the past three years, we've told you about Los Gatos/Monte Sereno residents Rose and Don Arnaudo who go all out for the holidays decorating their 17843 Andrews Ave. home with millions of lights!

The home is lighting up tonight, according to Rose. The outside of the property is ready for townsfolk and the general public to enjoy, while the inside will take three to four days to decorate, she said.

From 6-11 p.m., the Arnaudos will have their full-sized sleigh and train on display, along with a large Santa, sleigh and reindeer.

There will also be manger scenes, and other light-up figures, Rose added.

This year the jolly couple has also added lights that will dance to Christmas music and a large blow-up of Pooh and friends.

"You are welcome to visit from now until New Year's. Please bring the kids if you want," Rose Arnaudo said.

Another Los Gatos holiday light display worth checking out is located at 16585 Farley Rd. It consists of a moving train, running rain or shine.

To find more holiday light displays in the Bay Area, we recommend you visit California Christmas Lights, run by Alex Dourov, Utkaduck Design of Livermore.

He's already had more than 50,000 light-seekers log on to his site to find the best lights around.

Dourov provides the site as a community service, something that costs him a few hundred dollars.

He began the site in 1999 because "we relied on newspaper listings to find local homes decorated with Christmas lights. The local newspaper was helpful but many times we would get lost or stumble on a 'stinker'."
