Patch Watch: Trash at Jones Road Trail Entrance

A sign telling trail users that there are no garbage cans at the gate of the Jones Road Trail is not deterrent enough for litterbugs.

Empty beverage cans, disposable coffee cups, lots of dog poop baggies and other garbage are being illegally dumped at the entrance of the Jones Road Trail in southeast Los Gatos.

The irony of it all is that the offenders are discarding their rubbish right under a sign that tells them that no trashcans are provided and to pack their garbage out.

The garbage has been left lying beside the chain-link fence where the gate to the trail's entrance is located.

To access the trail, one must go beyond the fence to inside the park where the small piles catch one by surprise.
