Los Gatos Receives Financial Reporting Award For 10th Consecutive Year
Under leadership of Los Gatos Finance Director Steve Conway, Los Gatos once again receives Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
Under the leadership of Los Gatos Finance Director Steve Conway, Los Gatos has once again received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
Mayor Barbara Spector said the award was for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2012 and noted the town has received the award every year for the past decade under Conway's leadership.
Spector said the award is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.

Spector said the certificate is awarded by an impartial panel which judges the town's financial reports which "have demonstrated full disclosure to clearly communicate the town's financial situation to its residents."
Conway, who's originally from South Dakota, has been employed by Los Gatos for 12 years.

He thanked Town Manager Greg Larson and the Los Gatos Town Council for their support.
He said his department prepares an annual financial report in-house every year and noted he believes in full accountability of the town's financial operations to the public.
"We pride ourselves in that," Conway said. "We look forward to hopefully winning the award next year again."
