Christmas Movie, Resolution Run Sign-Up, All Today, Dec. 28

Don't miss Kenny Mencher's exhibit at the Art Museum of Los Gatos.

1. The Los Gatos-Saratoga Recreation 55-Plus Program presents the free movie National Lampoons Christmas Vacation at 1 p.m., today, Wednesday, Dec. 28 at the Los Gatos Adult Recreation Center, 208 East Main St. Deck the halls with boughs of laughter—the Griswolds are back! Hapless Clark (Chevy Chase), exasperated Ellen and their changing kids gear up for Christmas in this Vacation installment that became a holiday classic. As usual, all the good intentions in the world can’t save them from disaster.

2. and the present the 17th annual Los Gatos Resolution Run 5-mile race at 9 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 1, at the Los Gatos High School track. Kids' distance starting at 200 yards, all age divisions welcome. Registration is $15 and $30 before Dec. 29 without and with long-sleeve T-shirt, respectively. Registration after Dec. 29 is $15 without T and $20 after Dec. 2 without T. Kids' Race entry fee is $5 and includes ribbon. Special division awards will be presented to top finishers. After race refreshments will be available. Details: 408-354-7365.

3. The , 4 Tait Ave., presents Renovated Reputations, a free multi-faceted exhibition of recent paintings by Kenney Mencher 11 a.m.-5 p.m., through Jan. 5. Mencher is a painter and a professor of art history and studio art at Ohlone College in Fremont. He is also the gallery director and curator at the Louis–Meager Art Gallery.
