Los Gatos Lions Begin White Cane Days Collection to Help Sight Impaired

Members of service club will be stationed at several town businesses Thursday and Friday to receive money and eyeglasses.

The Los Gatos Lions Club's annual collection for its White Cane Days fundraiser begins Thursday, Oct. 3 and continues 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4.

The Lions raise money for sight-related services and they need your glasses to distribute to those in need.

All proceeds go directly to services for sight such as the Santa Clara Valley Blind Center.

Lions Club members will be at the following locations to collect donations and used eyeglasses:

  • Los Gatos Post Office, 101 So. Santa Cruz Ave.
  • Lunardi's, 720 Blossom Hill Rd.
  • Safeway, 470 No. Santa Cruz Ave.
  • Safeway, 15549 Union Ave.
  • Nob Hill Foods, 15710 Los Gatos Blvd.

All proceeds collected benefit local and area services for the sight impaired.

Used eyeglasses will be recycled and sorted by prescription to be given to those in need.
