Women's Opportunity Aaward dinner - Soroptimist Int'l

Join us to hear the stories of the winners of of our Woman's Opportunity Award (WOA).

The Woman's Opportunity Award (WOA) is a Soroptimist International major service project. It was established by Soroptimist International of the Americas in 1972. It was developed to assist woman entering, or re-entering, the work force and meant to help them in obtaining the education, skills and training that they need to improve their employment status. Woman's Opportunity Awards are designed to give women heads of household who provide the primary source of financial support for their families, the opportunity to achieve their career goals, an opportunity they have not previously had, whether because of economic or social barriers, or personal circumstances.

This is an annual award given to two women in the Silicon Valley community who are heads of house hold and going back to school.  Our club and each Soroptimist International of The Americas give this award out.  Again, each year we look in the community to find a women that has re-entered her quest to educate herself, to better herself.  The women apply and then are selected to receive this cash award.

The dinner will be  $35 including tax and tip, so please join us to help celebrate our new WOA winners!

Choice #1. Chicken Picatta , rice pilaf  and  mixed vegetables. (This is gluten free)
Or Choice #2. Vegetarian meal- Asiago cheese and garlic raviolis with pesto sauce.
Both meals include a salad
Coffee , tea and water included
Drinks can be purchased at the bar.
