NATURE HIKE AROUND STEVENS CREEK RESERVOIR AND PICNIC LUNCH

Date and time: Tuesday September 24, 2013 from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM (one-way) or from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM (roundtrip).

Location: Stevens Creek County Park in Cupertino.

Join us for an educational hike around the 92-acre Stevens Creek County Reservoir, the location of Santa Clara County’s first park (circa 1924).  Travel through a mostly shaded area with Sycamore, Cottonwood and Big-leaf Maple trees, flowering plants and views of the peaceful water.  We will learn about the history of the park, and its riparian habitat, natural flora and fauna.  Sandwiches are provided for a social lunch at the Bay Tree picnic area.
