Community Corner

Mothers Circle Mini-Course

Congregation Shir Hadash will host a free Mothers Circle
Workshop series. The Mothers Circle is a program of the Jewish Outreach
Institute. For women of other religious backgrounds raising Jewish children
within the context of intermarriage or a committed relationship, Mothers Circle
programs explore the “how-tos” and meaning behind raising Jewish children -
empowering mothers through education and support. Mothers Circle offers a
welcome to the Jewish community, and support in the choice to raise Jewish
children.

The Mothers Circle Mini-Course is a free three-session
workshop that provides an overview and guide to Jewish parenting. Through
experiential education and a supportive environment, participants gain
confidence through knowledge and establish key goals by addressing topics such
as creating a Jewish home and Jewish life cycle events. A light lunch and babysitting are provided free of cost. The classes are from 12pm to 2pm on January 12 & 26, and February 9. RSVP to patty@shirhadash.org
