Harvesting Opportunity: Santa Clara Valley Farm Tour

Come join Committee for Green Foothills (CGF) as our farm tour returns to Santa Clara County! We'll visit a cattle ranching operation, responsible for grazing management on sensitive habitats; tour Andy's Orchard, an agricultural gem growing artisanal stone fruit; meet some of the happiest chickens, goats, alpacas, and sheep around at Shady Creek Farm; and visit the only olive grove in Santa Clara County.

This tour contains a wide breadth of information from a variety of perspectives, whether you are interested in learning about the challenges of sustainable farming, urban encroachment, the definition of "local," or the history of Santa Clara Valley, this tour has a little something for everyone!

Be prepared for moderate walking; ages 18 and older; $65 for members, $85 for non-members. Due to Google's support, we are now able to offer financial assistance and student discounted tickets ($35), please contact Mandy for more information at Mandy@greenfoothills.org or (650) 968-7243 x 314.

Fee covers the cost of transportation, lunch, and light refreshments along the way. The tour bus will be loaded at Emma Prusch Farm Park in San Jose. For more information, visit the event's page.
