Dr. Sloane Wiktorowicz, a Sagan Research Fellow at UC Santa Cruz will present a fascinating program on planets at the Friends of Los Gatos Library’s October 18 Friday Forum.


Sloane currently studies starlight reflected off the atmospheres of extra solar planets using an instrument he developed at the Lick Observatory. An exoplanet, short for extrasolar planet, is a planet that orbits a star other than the Sun.
