Finals, Finals, and More Finals

School's last week is filled with end-of-year exams that I'll be happy when they're over.

The last few days of school are finally here, and I for one couldn't be happier!

I cannot wait to have my junior year behind me. Tuesday was my first day of finals. It's a terrible way to end the school year, but nothing is better than finishing a test knowing that you never need to study the subject again.

This year I have a much easier schedule than I have ever had before. I only have two real finals, in chemistry, which I finished Tuesday and algebra two.

Finals. I always knew that I would have to deal with them, and I know that they will not be going away any time soon. With only two finals this year, I had more time to really focus on preparing for each test. And this year was also the first time that I tried studying in a group of people. That was an interesting experience.

On Friday night, my friend asked me if I would study with him and some other people in our chemistry class on Saturday. I said that I would come, since chemistry is not one of my better classes. The group was far from productive, and we ended up spending more time on our "lunch break" than on actual studying. My friend talked me into going with him to Starbucks to finish studying, and again, I agreed. We were more productive when it was just us, and we ended up getting a lot of work done.

So on Tuesday when I took the test, I felt that I did alright. My chemistry grade is solid, so it won't go up or down a letter no matter how high or low I score on the test. I think that I knew most of the things that were on the final because I studied with a group of people instead of by myself. Would I ever form a study group again? Yes. Would I recommend it to other students? Definitely.

I spent most of my day Tuesday studying for my math final. I am definitely not a math person, but I think that if I really focus I can memorize all of the formulas and equations. I could have formed a study  group, but I didn't really have time and people have other finals to be studying for.

I was so relieved Wednesday when I was finished with my finals! I am looking forward to my last day of school, where I will be watching movies and hanging out with my friends. A stress-free last day is the perfect way to end a stressful school year and I can't wait for it to be over.
