College Applications, Here I Come

After three years of high school, it is finally time to apply for college.

They're finally here ... the college applications. A few years ago when I was a freshman, it seemed like I would never get to this point. College felt so far away in the future. Well, the future is finally here and I can't believe it.

In my English class at my teacher is having us start our essays. We will get feedback and tips for how to write that awesome essay that says, "Pick me! I'm perfect for your school!"

I have been thinking about my college applications for a while now, but this week was the first time I really sat down and started thinking about actually applying. I can't start for another eight weeks, since I'm taking the SAT in a few weeks and need to wait for my scores to come in.

Right now I feel like they're more stressful than school! I completely understand what all of my teachers meant when they told me last year that senior year wasn't easy, it was just easier than junior year.

According to experts, applying for college takes thought, effort and organization, but students need not worry as there are great sources of information on the Internet to help them out.

I know that I really shouldn't be complaining. I have it easier than a lot of other people I know. It is such a relief to know that I will be done with my applications at the end of November, while so many other people have applications that are due in December and January.

Wish me luck!
