Los Gatos Police Car Chase Leads to Teens with Marijuana

Driver says he fled from cops due to possession of half a gram of weed, according to police.

Los Gatos-Monte Sereno police say the driver of a car with about half a gram of weed led them on a chase before being arrested shortly after midnight on Oct. 22.

Connor Power Pieper, 18, was driving a Toyota Corolla when he failed to stop in the area of Hardwood at Hardwood Court at 12:06 a.m. after police tried to make contact with him and a chase began, said Los Gatos-Monte Sereno police Sgt. spokesman Kerry Harris.

The vehicle, which had two 15-year-old passengers in it, was later located by cops a short distance from where the chase began, in the 100 block of Belridge Drive, off Harwood Court, Harris said.
