Ever Have One of Those Days? Quick Solution Here

I was at Music in the Park on Sunday and a friend who used to work for the Town of Los Gatos, walked up to me and slapped me on the back and we traded warm salutations. Then at one point, he noted that I had become quite the trouble maker. I stepped back and considered what he had said, knowing it was more than a passing comment. A safety net sort of attitude filled my brain and I told him that I don’t usually try make trouble, I simply comment on trouble that’s already brewing. He stepped back and considered, and lightly nodded with a mild bit of agreement. We dropped the whole thing and started talking about how we were surrounded by all the good looking girls traipsing about in the cool afternoon’s summer breeze.

My friend’s comment got me to thinking and I started a new blog post that I had been mulling around for quite awhile, waiting for the right moment to start it. I felt that the right moment was upon me. I worked on this new post for several hours Sunday night and most of the day Monday. Yesterday morning (Tuesday) I awoke early, hot to finish this new post, that felt so right and so true. I wanted to publish it before noon.

I turned on my computer, hot to trot, and I couldn’t find the new post’s file. Mysteriously, there wasn’t a trace of it anywhere. I worked feverishly to retrieve some traces of it, to hopefully rebuild it. There was nothing. I downloaded a bunch of computer utilities to find, rebuild or undelete lost files. To no avail. My brain slowly decomposed into mush. I’d run out of ideas, and worse, I’d run out of clarity. In the evening I consorted with a few of my computer wizard buddies and, to no avail.

I woke this morning with a huge empty feeling for losing so much good work and told myself I could try to rewrite it in six months or so. I also told myself to back up current work every day, not every week, as is my habit. I was feeling really bummed out and all sorry for myself, when I remembered something. A few years ago a friend told me that when he started out the day all down and out, he would go to You Tube and check out one of his favorite “flash mob” videos and it would always put him into a much better frame of mind. He showed me the video, a seemingly “spontaneous” but highly choreographed and well planned event by some people wanting to spread their joy. Guess what? It works. He inspired me to put together a blog post of several of these positive, sensual and very pleasing videos which I posted earlier this year.

I reread this post this morning and it worked. So, what the hell, let’s spread it around again. The inspiring post follows, . . . enjoy:
